HISTORY
ConferenceIT (CIT) is the 21st Century evolution of Martin Lack
& Associates (ML&A).Over more than a decade, ML&A has evolved
from a single-person consulting firm, offering specialised market research
and marketing advice in the ICT sector, to become one of the most successful
boutique professional conference organisers (PCOs) in Australia. This
evolution has occurred because of the passion, innovation and commitment
to excellence of Martin and Jackie Lack, their dedicated staff and an
underlying belief that nothing is impossible.
Annually and combined, CIT’s events attract over 8,000 delegates, $1.5 million of sponsorship and $1.5 million of delegate fees.

Martin and Jackie Lack believe the success of the business is more about relationships than just event administration. They proactively manage the risks surrounding an event to ensure it is a success.
The Lacks are true believers in the e-business model and drive the technology hard to provide exemplary service for all the stakeholders in an event.
SHORT
TERM EVENTS (seminars, breakfasts, lunches, dinners)
CIT is the primary organiser of short term events for the ICT
industry in South East Queensland. In this subsector it typically handles
around 5,800 delegates across 25-30 events per year.
Even though many of the events are branded against the client’s name, CIT in its own right has very high brand recognition. Sponsors and speakers readily accept their invitation to participate.
CONFERENCES
CIT manages more computer conferences in Australia than any other
organisation, in sectors such as e-Security, e-Learning, Networking, HR
Software and High Performance Computing. On average, over 2,200 delegates
are managed annually across seven to nine conferences.
CIT is a full-service PCO. Speakers, hotel and venue management, sponsor management, conference Web sites, promotional material, bookings and registrations, secretariat management, and on site technical logistics are just some of the services available.
